Morgan is 9-0 against Ben Lomond since January of 2016, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Tuesday. Morgan scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Thursday. They put the hurt on South Summit with a sharp 70-49 win. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest win Morgan has posted against South Summit since February 9, 2021.
Morgan can attribute much of their success to Abby Titus, who dropped a double-double on 21 points and 13 rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Titus has scored all season. Leah Birkeland was another key contributor, scoring 11 points along with three steals.
Meanwhile, Ben Lomond's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Thursday after their fifth straight loss. They took a serious blow against Grantsville, falling 70-34. Ben Lomond has struggled against Grantsville recently, as their matchup on Thursday was their ninth consecutive lost matchup.
Morgan has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four games, which provided a nice bump to their 5-11 record this season. As for Ben Lomond, their defeat was their fourth straight on the road, which bumped their record down to 6-10.
Everything came up roses for Morgan against Ben Lomond when the teams last played back in February of 2023 as the squad secured a 73-35 victory. With Morgan ahead 44-13 at the half, the matchup was all but over already.
