Roberts Came Up Big in Union Grove's 45-14 Victory
Starting off the list is Union Grove's Jace Roberts, who we judged to be the best player in the league this week. Roberts rushed for 84 yards and a touchdown on only seven carries, and also threw for 251 yards and a touchdown while completing 76.9% of his passes. He got the majority of those rushing yards when he took off on a run that went for an incredible 82 yards.
Union Grove's win bumped their record up to 5-2. Roberts and Union Grove will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Harleton at 7:00 p.m. on October 25th.

Nunu Kennedy Turns in Another Game with at Least 144 Rushing Yards
Nunu Kennedy continued his hot streak on Friday by dropping his third-straight game (dating back to last season) with at least 144 rushing yards. He rushed for 144 yards and a touchdown on only 14 carries. Elysian Fields is undefeated when Kennedy posts 80 or more rushing yards, but 1-2 otherwise.
Elysian Fields' loss dropped their record down to 5-2. Kennedy and Elysian Fields will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Ore City at 7:00 p.m. on October 25th.

He also deserves a shoutout for his performance on D, making seven total tackles (1.0 for loss) and defending a pass in addition to snagging an interception.
This year, Wightman has caught 4 touchdowns while averaging 43.7 receiving yards per game.

Prince Made His Presence Known in Beckville's 31-17 Defeat
Jorden Prince continued his hot streak on Friday by dropping his seventh-straight game with at least two rushing touchdowns. He rushed for 113 yards and two touchdowns. He didn't just play on offense: he also picked up a sack and made four total tackles.
Beckville's defeat ended an eight-game streak of away wins dating back to last season and brought them to 6-1. Prince and Beckville will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Hawkins at 7:30 p.m. on October 25th.
