Westran waltzed into their contest on Monday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They came out on top against the New Franklin Bulldogs by a score of 6-1. For the Hornets, this counts as revenge for the 10-0 win the Bulldogs walked away with the last time they faced one another back in April of 2024.

Westran's victory bumped their record up to 13-5. As for New Franklin, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 7-10.

Westran didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 3-0 win against Schuyler County on the 6th. As for New Franklin, they will look to defend their home field on Thursday against Sweet Springs at 5:00 p.m. The Greyhounds have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 9.42 runs per game on average), something the Bulldogs will no doubt try to take advantage of.
