Laconia can bid farewell to their five-game losing streak thanks to their game on Wednesday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with an 8-7 win over the Stark Generals. The Sachems' hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.
Kaydence Stinson spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered four earned (and three unearned) runs on ten hits and racked up nine Ks. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in three consecutive appearances.
On the hitting side, Jaeden Rivest was excellent, getting on base in all four of her plate appearances with two runs and one stolen base. Kaitlyn Durfee was another key player, going 2-for-5 with two runs and one RBI.
Laconia's victory bumped their record up to 3-5. As for Stark, they moved to 5-2 with that loss, which also ended their five-game winning streak.
