It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact the Atlantic Sharks can now relate to. They were beaten by the Pirates 62-18 on Wednesday. While losing is never fun, Atlantic can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Florida basketball rankings (they are ranked 405th, while Palm Bay is ranked 15th).
Palm Bay found their leader in underclassman Erynn Moffett, who scored 17 points along with six rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Kiara Williams, who scored eight points along with two steals.
Atlantic now has a losing record at 11-12. As for Palm Bay, their win bumped their record up to 19-7.
Atlantic does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Palm Bay, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 67-39 win vs. Cocoa on the 9th.
