The Harlem Huskies's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their third straight loss. They fell 57-46 to Freeport. The result was an unpleasant reminder to Harlem of the 60-46 loss they experienced in the two teams' previous head-to-head fixture back in December of 2023.
Harlem's loss came despite strong showings from Mason Walsh and Bo Beehler. Walsh scored nine points along with eight rebounds and two steals, while Beehler scored nine points along with six assists and five rebounds. Another player making a difference was Mateo Perera, who scored seven points.
Harlem has not been sharp recently as the team's lost four of their last five games, which put a noticeable dent in their 8-17 record this season. As for Freeport, their victory was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 14-12.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Harlem will take on the Caxys at 7:15 p.m. on Saturday. As for Freeport, they will be playing at home against the Steamers at 3:30 p.m. on Saturday.
