Basketball Recap: Central of Coosa County Victorious

Central of Coosa County won the last time they faced Reeltown, and Lacorrian Thompson did his part to make sure it happened again. The Central of Coosa County Cougars walked away with a 58-51 victory over the Reeltown Rebels on Tuesday thanks in part to Thompson, who went 12 of 21 on his way to 28 points and six steals. The matchup was his third in a row with at least ten points.

The team also got some help courtesy of Kaleb Ballard, who went 6 of 12 on his way to 16 points in addition to five rebounds and four blocks. Ballard is crushing it when it comes to blocks: he's posted at least two every time he's taken the court this season.

Central of Coosa County's win bumped their record up to 5-2. As for Reeltown, they now have a losing record at 1-2.

Central of Coosa County will take on Carroll in a tournament on Thursday. Reeltown and Beauregard will compete for holiday cheer at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
