If Live Oak were expecting to get some payback for the 25-31 defeat against Central the last time they met, then they were left disappointed. Live Oak came up short against Central on Friday, falling 21-30. Live Oak are ranked 23rd in the MaxPreps state rankings (64 spots ahead of Central), so the defeat was all the more frustrating.
The loss dropped Live Oak's record to 4-2. The win got Central back to even at 3-3.
Next week Live Oak take on Scotlandville at 7:00 PM. As for Central, they will face off against Brusly. Brusly are limping into the matchup on a three-game losing streak.
