Even though the Harlem Bulldogs scored an imposing 55 points on Tuesday, the Cross Creek Razorbacks still came out on top. Cross Creek took their match against Harlem 62-55. That's another feather in the cap for Cross Creek, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.
Several Bulldogs players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Chavis Johnson, who scored 14 points along with seven rebounds and two steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Lemar Edmond, who scored 19 points along with five rebounds.
Cross Creek has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six contests, which provided a nice bump to their 13-8 record this season. As for Harlem, they have traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost four of their last five contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 9-8 record this season.
Cross Creek will be playing in front of their home fans against Academy of Richmond County at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Academy of Richmond County is coming into the game hot, having won their last three games. As for Harlem, they will head out on the road to take on Hephzibah at 7:15 p.m. on Friday. Hopefully Hephzibah focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 11 last Friday.
