Tuscarawas Valley got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was John Leffler out in front who scored 17 points along with three steals. The matchup was Leffler's fifth in a row with at least ten points. Virgil Myers was another key contributor, dropping a double-double on 18 points and 12 rebounds.
The victory makes it two in a row for Tuscarawas Valley and bumps their season record up to 3-6. As for Sandy Valley, their defeat ended a 12-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 7-3.

East Canton will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Ohio Rankings (they are ranked 372nd, while Sandy Valley is ranked 172nd).
