After a string of nine wins, the Dysart Demons's good fortune finally ran out  on Thursday. They fell to Willow Canyon  73-69. Having run the score up that high, both teams probably have some extra defensive drills coming up.
 Despite the  defeat, Dysart had strong showings from  Nigel Anderson, who  dropped  a double-double on 20 points and 11  rebounds, and  Lamar Anderson, who  scored 12 points along with five  assists. Anderson scored a full 29% of Dysart's points, the third time in a row he's  earned more than a third of the team's points. Another player making a difference was  Easton Carleton, who  scored eight points.
 Leading Willow Canyon to victory were  Kaleel Kelly and  Braylon Haman.  Kelly  dropped  a double-double on 21 points and ten  rebounds, while  Haman  scored 27 points along with four  steals. The  matchup was  Haman's 15th in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of  Jayden Maxwell, who  scored nine points along with six  rebounds.
 Dysart's defeat dropped their record down to 11-3. As for Willow Canyon, the  victory (which was their 11th in a row) raised their record to 14-1.
 Dysart won't have much time to rest: their next  game is against Mica Mountain at 4:00  p.m.  on December 29, 2023. Mica Mountain is looking to tack on another W to their four-game streak on the road. Desert Edge knows how to get  points on the board -- the  squad has finished with flashy point totals in its past seven matches -- so hopefully Willow Canyon likes a good challenge.
