The Valley View Eagles will take on the S & S Consolidated Rams at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.
Last Tuesday, Valley View was beaten by the Bearcats 66-37. Valley View has not had much luck with the Bearcats recently, as the team's come up short the last seven times they've met.
Meanwhile, S & S Consolidated took a serious blow against the Yellowjackets on Tuesday, falling 90-44. S & S Consolidated was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 51-20.
Despite the defeat, S & S Consolidated saw an underclassman step up: Hunter Courville almost dropped a double-double on 11 points and nine rebounds. Logan Johnson was another key contributor, scoring seven points.
Valley View has traveled a rocky road recently having lost 13 of their last 14 contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-21 record this season. As for S & S Consolidated, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-21.
Valley View came up short against the Rams when the teams last played back in January, falling 56-48. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of Courville, who dropped a double-double on 16 points and 17 rebounds.
