With a playoff game on the line, the Bushland Falcons rose to the challenge on Thursday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Whitesboro 60-19 at home. The win was familiar territory for Bushland who now have ten in a row.
Whitesboro's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performance. Perhaps the best among them was Clay Hermes, who threw for 217 yards and three touchdowns. The team also got some help courtesy of Brett Donaldson, who picked up 63 receiving yards and two touchdowns.
Bushland pushed their record up to 11-1 with that win, which was their eighth straight at home dating back to last season. As for Whitesboro, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-6.
Bushland will face off against Paradise at TBD on Friday. Paradise is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune. Whitesboro does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
