Hanover will challenge Doniphan West on the road on Friday. It might come down to the wire as the MaxPreps national rankings project a close contest.
Hanover had to kick off their season on the road last week, but they showed no ill effects. Everything went their way against Pike Valley as the team secured a 46-0 victory. With Hanover ahead 38-0, the game was all but decided by halftime.
Meanwhile, Doniphan West had to kick off their season with an away game, and unfortunately wound up with a long bus ride home. They ended up on the wrong side of a painful 12-38 walloping at Washington County's hands.
Hanover's win lifted them to 1-0 while Doniphan West's loss dropped them down to 0-1. We'll see if Hanover's success rolls on or if Doniphan West are able to steal their positive momentum.
