Softball Recap: Northeast Academy's Win Ends Eight-Game Losing Streak at Home

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Ridgecroft, Northeast Academy was happy to have turned things around on Wednesday. They blew past the Columbia Wildcats 16-1. The Eagles' hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.

Chole Long was a major factor no matter where she played. On the mound, she struck out six batters over three innings while giving up just one earned run off two hits. Long was also big at the plate, going 1-for-2 with three runs and one RBI.

Northeast Academy's win ended an eight-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 2-8. As for Columbia, they dropped their record down to 0-8 with the defeat, which was their tenth straight on the road dating back to last season.

As of now, neither Northeast Academy nor the Wildcats have any future games scheduled.
