Faith Christian Academy's's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their fourth straight loss. They fell to Bible Baptist Christian 34-28. Faith Christian Academy lost against Bible Baptist Christian in their previous head to head back in December of 2023, too, but the margin this time around was much wider than the 34-17 score last time.
Despite the loss, Faith Christian Academy saw an underclassman step up: Sara Morgan Sapp scored 12 points. Sapp scored a full 42.9% of Faith Christian Academy's points, the third time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points. Bree Chamberlin was another key contributor, scoring six points.
Faith Christian Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 1-6. As for Bible Baptist Christian, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 3-1.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Faith Christian Academy will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Alleluia Community at 6:00 p.m. on January 16th. As for Bible Baptist Christian, they will head out on the road to face off against Faith Baptist Christian Academy at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Faith Baptist Christian Academy's defense has only allowed 29.4 points per game this season, so Bible Baptist Christian's offense will have their work cut out for Bible Baptist Christian.
