River Road has enjoyed the comforts of home their last two games, but now they'll head out on the road. They will face off against the Groom Tigers at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.
Last Friday, River Road came up short against Sanford-Fritch and fell 51-39.
Meanwhile, Groom is still winless after their match against Sunray on Friday, but the team can take solace in the fact it was the closest they've come to winning. Groom fell just short of Sunray by a score of 43-40.
River Road has traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost eight of their last ten matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-12 record this season. As for Groom, they bumped their record down to 0-6 with that loss, which was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season.
River Road lost to Groom on the road by a decisive 39-21 margin in their previous matchup back in December of 2021. Can River Road avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
