After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Panther Creek, the Apex Cougars were happy to have found some success on Wednesday. They strolled past Sanderson with points to spare, taking the game 48-30. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Apex also won the last time the pair played back in December of 2023.
Isabella Pease continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines, scoring 15 points along with nine rebounds and five steals. She has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last seven times she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Destiny Richardson, who scored seven points along with seven rebounds and six assists.
Apex's victory bumped their record up to 7-5. As for Sanderson, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-11.
Apex will look to defend their home court on Friday against Middle Creek at 5:30 p.m. Middle Creek is coming into the game hot, having won their last ten games. As for Sanderson, they will head out on the road to face off against Athens Drive at 6:30 p.m. on Friday.
