Jerome hasn't had much luck against Twin Falls recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Tigers will challenge the Bruins at 3:30 p.m. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, these teams will really light up the scoreboard.
Jerome will bounce into Tuesday's matchup after beating Wood River, who they had gone 2-7 against in their nine prior meetings. The Tigers' pitcher stepped up to hand the Wolverines a 10-0 shutout on Thursday. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last four times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.
Noah Ramsey was excellent, going 1-for-2 with three RBI, one run, and one double. That's the most RBI he has posted since back in April of 2025. Another player making a difference was Xaiden Van Tassell, who went 1-for-2 with two runs, one stolen base, and one double.
Twin Falls came out on top against Minico on Monday thanks in part to the team's impressive ten-run fourth inning. The Bruins blew past the Spartans 14-2. The Bruins have beaten the Spartans the last six times they've met, but they better watch out: this was the closest the Spartans has come to flipping the script.
Braxon Trenkle looked comfortable as he pitched four innings while giving up just two earned runs off four hits.
On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Hoyt Murray, who went 3-for-4 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. That home run marked the first that he has launched this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Luke Beem, who went 2-for-3 with two stolen bases and three runs.
Twin Falls always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .639. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Minico only posted an OBP of .417.
Twin Falls' record now sits at 11-4. As for Jerome, they picked up their first home victory, bumping their record up to 6-7.
Jerome suffered a grim 7-0 defeat to Twin Falls when the teams last played back in May of 2025. Can the Tigers avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
