The Altamont Longhorns's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their fifth straight loss. They fell 53-44 to Pinnacle. Altamont was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Pinnacle apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in November of 2019.
It was another big night for Cole Barton, who scored 27 points along with six rebounds and four steals for Pinnacle. The match was Barton's 11th in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Brody Howell, who scored 12 points along with eight rebounds.
Altamont's defeat dropped their record down to 3-6. As for Pinnacle, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last eight contests, which provided a nice bump to their 7-5 record this season.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Altamont's road trip will continue as they head out to face Wendover at 8:00 p.m. on January 11th. Wendover has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 408 points over their last six contests. As for Pinnacle, they will head out on the road to face off against Monument Valley at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday.
