Elmwood Park gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Monday. They strolled past the Walther Christian Academy Broncos with points to spare, taking the game 57-39. The Tigers haven't had any issues with the Broncos recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive victory against them.

Elmwood Park can attribute much of their success to Sam Labarbera, who posted 22 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Scotty Ruiz, who put up 13 points.

Coming up, Elmwood Park and Aurora Central Catholic will face off at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday without much rest, having both just played. As for Walther Christian Academy, they and Francis W. Parker will face off at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday without much rest, having both just played.
