The ISchool of Lewisville Cougar's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their sixth straight loss. They took a 69-61 hit to the loss column at the hands of Largo. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their last game last Monday (56), iSchool of Lewisville still had to take the loss.
Jaylen Lawal and David Iweze certainly did their best on Friday to try and avoid the loss. Lawal scored 23 points along with six assists, while Iweze dropped a double-double on 12 points and 13 rebounds. Iweze is on a roll when it comes to blocks, as he's now posted two or more in the last six games he's played. Another player making a difference was Trent Lintz, who scored ten points.
ISchool of Lewisville has not been sharp recently, as they've lost seven of their last eight games, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-9 record this season. As for Largo, they pushed their record up to 10-1 with that victory, which was their 13th straight at home dating back to last season.
ISchool of Lewisville on the road again on Monday and play against Rock Creek Christian Academy White at 10:00 a.m. on January 15th. Rock Creek Christian Academy White has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 1,418 points over their last 20 games. As for Largo, they will look to defend their home court on Thursday against Fairmont Heights at 7:00 p.m. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Maryland (Fairmont Heights is ranked 24th, while Largo is ranked 31st).
