The Drummond Trojans can now show off nine landslide victories after their most recent match on Friday. They blew past Granite 51-20 at home. Winning may never get old, but Drummond sure is getting used to it with their eighth in a row.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Drummond to victory, but perhaps none more so than Lexi Nelson, who scored 16 points along with eight rebounds and five steals. It was the first time this season that Nelson pulled down eight or more rebounds. Charlee Cline was another key contributor, dropping a double-double on ten points and 13 rebounds.
Drummond's victory was their ninth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 14-3. As for Granite, they now have a losing record at 4-5.
Drummond and Victor will face off at 12:00 p.m. on February 10th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Victor comes in on a streak of failing to score more than 22 points in their last six games, a trend the team is of course eager to reverse. As for Granite, they and Lincoln will face off at 4:30 p.m. on February 10th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are closely ranked in Montana (Granite is ranked 92nd, while Lincoln is ranked 110th).
