The Parkway South Patriots will head out on the road to face off against the MICDS Rams at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. Parkway South is hoping to put an end to a three-game streak of away losses.
Last Wednesday, Parkway South was able to grind out a solid win over Northwest, taking the game 49-42.
Parkway South got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Eddie Ahearn out in front who scored 21 points along with seven rebounds and four steals. The game was Ahearn's sixth in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Ryan Shanfeld, who scored 13 points along with five rebounds.
Meanwhile, MICDS didn't have too much trouble with Des Moines North at home on Saturday as they won 61-46. The win made it back-to-back wins for MICDS.
The victory got Parkway South back to even at 4-4. As for MICDS, their win bumped their record up to 2-0.
Parkway South couldn't quite finish off MICDS in their previous meeting back in December of 2018 and fell 61-59. Can Parkway South avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
