The Providence Prep Rams scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Friday. They breezed by Meridian at home to the tune of 60-18. Providence Prep has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won five matches by 27 points or more this season.
Providence Prep's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Lilly Hodge, who dropped a double-double on 14 points and 17 rebounds. Hodge hasn't dropped below two steals for six straight games. Alice Illian was another key contributor, scoring 14 points along with eight rebounds.
The victory makes it two in a row for Providence Prep and bumps their season record up to 6-8. As for Meridian, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-10.
Providence Prep will head out on the road to challenge the at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Grace Academy's defense has only allowed 27.3 points per game this season, so the Rams' offense will have their work cut out for them. Meridian does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
