Dorian McBride and Bernard Brown provided fans with a highlight when they connected against Stanton. The longest such play in 6A District 4 this season, the connection resulted in 81 yards.
St. Augustine extended the longest winning streak in the league this week by beating Bartram Trail, 27-26. The win marks seventh in a row for the the Yellowjackets.
Wolfson's dynamic duo of McBride and Brown proved tough for the Blue Devils to stop, as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week. McBride threw for 180 yards and four touchdowns and Brown had 120 yards receiving. Lawrence Taylor helped Wolfson's passing attack out by catching three balls for 45 yards.
Nick Uruburu was the most productive running back in the league this week. In seven carries, he ran for 102 yards as the Bears beat Stanton. P.J. Blazejowski also contributed to the rushing game with 101 yards on the ground.
Bartram Trail's Blazejowski and Gabe Davis have formed a dynamic duo this season, leading 6A District 4 in both passing and receiving yards. Blazejowski has thrown for 1532 yards this season, while Davis, a 6-foot-0 receiver, has 25 catches for 531 yards. Jaques Riles from Lee leads the league in rushing with 476 yards.
A big matchup in the league this week will be when the Generals take on St. Augustine. Lee is in fifth place, while Joey Wiles' team is in first place.
Wolfson took down Ray Tiller Sr's team 56-21 last week, the largest margin of any game. McBride ran for 68 yards in the win.
