The McNair Eagles lost against the Weston Ranch Cougars back in January, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. McNair was dealt a 90-38 loss at the hands of the Cougars. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for McNair in their matchups with the Cougars: they've now lost five in a row.
Weston Ranch's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Izaias White, who dropped a double-double on 28 points and ten rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points White has scored all season. Mateen Rafiq was another key contributor, scoring 23 points along with five assists and four steals.
McNair's defeat dropped their record down to 8-17. As for Weston Ranch, the win (which was their 15th in a row) raised their record to 21-3.
McNair will head out on the road to take on the Delta Kings at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Stagg and the Eagles are at an even 5-5 over their past ten head-to-heads. As for Weston Ranch, they will look to defend their home court on Friday against the Titans at 7:30 p.m. Chavez will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps California Rankings (they are ranked 738th, while the Cougars are ranked 87th).
