Crestview extended the longest winning streak in Inter-Tri-County - Large this week by beating Jackson-Milton, 63-7. The victory was the eighth in a row for the team.
Springfield moved up to 517 from 553 in the state rankings this week, the biggest jump in the league. The Tigers climbed the ranks as a result of falling to South Range 27-12.
Devine Redding was the most productive running back in the league this week. He ran for 237 yards on 14 carries as Mineral Ridge bested David Anderson. Casey Porter also contributed to the rushing game with 25 yards on the ground.
Phillips was the best wideout in Inter-Tri-County - Large this week as the Rams defeated the Blue Devils. Phillips racked up two receptions for 94 yards. Redding helped Mineral Ridge's passing attack out by catching one ball for four yards.
Collin Gilbert put up the best numbers through the air as Crestview topped the Bluejays. He finished with four completions for 89 yards and two touchdowns. Gilbert's favorite target this week was Dimitri Gregory, who caught one pass for 40 yards.
Mineral Ridge's Jonathan Baker and Phillips have formed a dynamic duo this season, leading the league in both passing and receiving yards. Baker has thrown for 1072 yards this season, while Phillips, a 6-foot-0 receiver, has eight catches for 344 yards. Paul Cusick's team's Nick Blower leads the league in rushing yards with 1259.
A big matchup in the league this week will be when the Rebels take on East Palestine. Crestview is currently in first, while the Bulldogs are in seventh.
Springfield made the biggest jump in the national rankings this week, rising to 9,370 from 10,219. They were able to move up in the ranks after a 27-12 victory over the Tigers last week.
