After losing to Fountain Central the last time they met, Clinton Prairie decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The Gophers put the hurt on the Mustangs with a sharp 15-5 victory on Wednesday. The result was nothing new for the Gophers, who have now won seven games by eight runs or more so far this season.

The team relied heavily on Alex King, who went 2-for-3 with three RBI, two runs, and one double. That's the most runs he has posted since back in April. The team also got some help courtesy of Jackson Price, who went 2-for-3 with two doubles, two RBI, and one run.

Clinton Prairie has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-4 record this season. As for Fountain Central, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost five of their last six games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-14 record this season.

As for Fountain Central, they will head out on the road to challenge Attica at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Red Ramblers have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 9.08 runs per game on average), something the Mustangs will no doubt try to take advantage of.
