If The Prescott Badgers were feeling good off their 53-20 takedown of the Flagstaff Eagles two weeks ago, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. Prescott took a 21-13 hit to the loss column at the hands of Bradshaw Mountain on Friday. Prescott lost against Bradshaw Mountain in their previous head to head back in October of 2022, too, but the margin this time around was much wider than the 20-14 score last time.
Uriah Tenette and Jaxon Rice, Prescott certainly did their best on Friday to try and avoid the loss. Tenette gained 102 total yards and a touchdown, while Rice threw for 228 yards and a touchdown.
Bradshaw Mountain got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Gabriel Ricketts out in front who rushed for 176 yards and a touchdown. The team also got some help courtesy of Kylin Jackson, who rushed for 70 yards and a touchdown on only five carries.
Prescott has fallen quite a ways from their 9-3 record last season and are now at 3-5. As for Bradshaw Mountain, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six contests, which provided a nice bump to their 6-2 record this season.
Prescott will head out on the road to face off against Coconino at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Coconino will be looking to keep their four-game home win streak alive. Bradshaw Mountain will take on Flagstaff at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Flagstaff is coming into the match on a three-game losing streak.
