Baseball Recap: Eastmoor Academy Has No Trouble Against West

Eastmoor Academy never got on the board in their matchup on Saturday, but that sure wasn't the case in their game against West on Monday. They were the clear victors by a 15-2 margin over the Cowboys. The result was nothing new for the Warriors, who have now won 11 contests by seven runs or more so far this season.

Darren Milligan was a major factor while hitting and pitching. He struck out eight batters over four innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off three hits. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than two walks in four consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, going 2-for-4 with four stolen bases, three runs, and one double. Those four stolen bases gave him a new career-high.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Mouhammed Ndiaye, who went 1-for-2 with three RBI, two runs, and one stolen base. Those three RBI gave him a new career-high.

Eastmoor Academy's win bumped their record up to 12-2. As for West, they dropped their record down to 0-5 with the loss, which was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season.

Coincidentally, Eastmoor Academy and West will both be playing Independence the next time they take the field. The Warriors will head out to face the 76ers at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday, while the Cowboys will head out to face them at 5:30 p.m. on Friday.
