Basketball Recap: Global Concepts Takes Loss Despite Strong Efforts from Ahmad Bah and Eric Davis

Global Concepts lost against Cardinal O'Hara back in December of 2023 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Global Concepts Gators fell 63-52 to the Cardinal O'Hara Hawks.

Despite the defeat, Global Concepts had strong showings from Eric Davis, who dropped a double-double on 19 points and 11 boards, and Ahmad Bah, who went 7 of 8 on his way to 16 points and five boards. Davis is crushing it when it comes to rebounds: he's pulled down at least ten every time he's taken the court this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Duane Fears, who posted six points along with five assists and five boards.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Cardinal O'Hara to victory, but perhaps none more so than Bryan Doe-Bruce, who dropped a double-double on 16 points and 12 boards. The dominant performance also gave Doe-Bruce a new career-high in steals (three). Gavin Johnson was another key player, going 8 of 14 on his way to 19 points and five rebounds.

The loss was their first at home , dropping their record down to 4-2. As for Cardinal O'Hara, their win bumped their record up to 4-5.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Global Concepts will welcome Western New York Maritime Charter at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. Global Concepts is facing Western New York Maritime Charter at the right time seeing as Western New York Maritime Charter is stuck on a six-game losing streak. As for Cardinal O'Hara, they will host St. Mary's at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. St. Mary's is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 61.1 points per game this season.
