Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but unfortunately for the White Longhorns, they weren't the ones who walked away with it. They were dealt a 49-14 defeat at the hands of Lone Star on Thursday. White was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 49-0.
Collin Blackstock was his usual excellent self, throwing for 270 yards and five touchdowns on only 19 passes. Another player making a difference was Davian Groce, who gained 91 total yards and three touchdowns.
White's defeat dropped their record down to 6-5. As for Lone Star, the victory was the tenth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 10-1.
White does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Lone Star will be staying on the road on November 17th to face off against Forney at 7:00 p.m. on November 17th. Forney is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune.
