The Panama Panthers will head out on the road to face off against the Cassadaga Valley Cougars at 7:30 p.m. Cassadaga Valley took a loss in their last match and will be looking to turn the tables on Panama, who comes in off a win.
Even though Ellicottville scored an imposing 56 points on Friday, Panama still came out on top. Panama strolled past Ellicottville with points to spare, taking the game 74-56. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Panama.
Carter Brink had a dynamite game for Panama, scoring 32 points along with 5 assists and 4 steals. That makes it two consecutive games in which Brink has scored at least 25% of Panama's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Bryce Hinsdale, who scored 17 points along with 4 steals.
Meanwhile, Cassadaga Valley was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap on Tuesday as they fell 35-30 to Ellicottville. Cassadaga Valley has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Their wins bumped Panama to 2-0 and Ellicottville to 1-2.
Everything came up roses for Panama against Cassadaga Valley in their previous matchup last Friday as the squad secured a 56-29 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for Panama since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
