Broughton is a perfect 10-0 against Enloe since May of 2021 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Friday. The Capitals will look to defend their home field against the Eagles at 4:30 p.m. Broughton is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.7 runs per game this season.
Enloe will challenge a team with plenty of momentum: Broughton extended their winning streak to three on Thursday. The Capitals were the clear victors by an 8-2 margin over Willow Spring. The result was nothing new for the Capitals, who have now won five games by six runs or more so far this season.
Carson Carroll made a splash no matter where he played. On the mound, he pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. He has been consistent: he hasn't given up more than one walk in five consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, getting on base in two of his four plate appearances with one stolen base and one run.

In other pitching news, Cooper Wall looked comfortable as he kept things locked down with no earned runs or hits over four innings pitched. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two walks any time he's pitched this season.
Back at the plate, the team relied heavily on Matthew Solomon, who went 2-for-4 with one home run, two RBI, and one double. Mason Hawkins was another key player, getting on base in four of his five plate appearances with one run and one RBI.
Meanwhile, Enloe was not the first on the board on Wednesday, but they got there more often. They walked away with a 9-5 victory over Hillside. The Eagles haven't had any issues with the Hornets recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive win against them.
Enloe also got a great performance from Jakob McCaleb as he didn't allow a single earned run while striking out seven over five innings pitched. That's the most strikeouts McCaleb has posted since back in March.
On the hitting side, William Loyek was excellent, getting on base in two of his four plate appearances with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI. Another player making a difference was Jacob Ly'Jordan, who went 1-for-4 with three RBI and one run.
Broughton's victory bumped their record up to 11-4. As for Enloe, their win bumped their record up to 5-9.
Broughton got the 'W' when the teams last played on Tuesday against Enloe by a conclusive 12-2 score. Do the Capitals have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Eagles turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
