The East Buchanan Bulldogs suffered their biggest defeat yet this season on Thursday. They took a serious blow against Chillicothe, falling 58-19. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for East Buchanan in their matchups with Chillicothe: they've now lost six in a row.
Chillicothe's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Liz Oliver led the charge by scoring 14 points along with five rebounds and four steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Oliver has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Kayanna Cranmer, who scored 13 points along with five assists and two steals.
East Buchanan's defeat dropped their record down to 8-6. As for Chillicothe, they pushed their record up to 10-1 with that win, which was their sixth straight on the road.
East Buchanan will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Lafayette County at 4:30 p.m. Lafayette County will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Missouri Rankings (they are ranked 343rd, while East Buchanan is ranked 163rd). Chillicothe will be staying on the road on Tuesday to face off against Barstow at 5:30 p.m. on January 23rd.
