Aztec extended their winning streak to five on Thursday, bumping them up to 16-5. They never let the Bloomfield Bobcats get on the board and left with a 6-0 victory. The result was nothing new for the Tigers, who have now won ten contests by six runs or more so far this season.

As for Bloomfield, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 8-16 record this season. Having soared to a lofty 17 runs in the game before, their shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

For Bloomfield's part, Player #8 put in work while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run while striking out 16 over seven innings pitched. Player #8 was also big at the plate, going 1-for-3 with one home run.

In other batting news, Eva McCann and Cassidy Babcock stepped up to the plate in a big way. McCann went 2-for-4 with two stolen bases, one run, and one double, while Babcock went 1-for-2 with two stolen bases, one run, and one RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Player #22, who got on base in three of her four plate appearances with one run.

Aztec has already played their next game, an 8-6 win against Gallup on the 28th. As for Bloomfield, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next contest, a 13-1 defeat against Kirtland Central on the 28th.
