The Eastbrook Panthers are taking a road trip to take on the Oak Hill Golden Eagles at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
Eastbrook gave up the first runs on Friday, but they didn't let that get them down. They blew past Lewis Cass 15-2. The victory continues a trend for the Panthers in their matchups with the Kings: they've now won four in a row.
Delanie Elliott made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She tossed seven innings while giving up just two earned runs off eight hits. She has been consistent for a while: she hasn't given up more than two walks in ten consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-4 with one run and one RBI.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Caleigh Perry, who went 2-for-4 with three RBI, two runs, and one stolen base. Those three RBI gave her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Braelee McNutt, who got on base in four of her five plate appearances with two RBI, one run, and one double.
Eastbrook kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 12 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least eight hits in three consecutive contests.
Meanwhile, Oak Hill entered their tilt with Whitko on Friday with three consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with four. They were the clear victors by a 9-3 margin over the Wildcats.
Pathie Speicher spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned (and two unearned) runs on eight hits.
On the hitting side, Jolee Hawkins was excellent, getting on base in three of her four plate appearances with two runs and two RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Lex Myers, who went 3-for-5 with two runs.
Oak Hill's win was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 12-4. The road victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.8 runs over those games. As for Eastbrook, their record now sits at 12-7.
Tuesday's game will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Eastbrook hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .372. However, it's not like Oak Hill struggles in that department as they've averaged .388. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Eastbrook skirted past Oak Hill 5-4 when the teams last played on Saturday. Will the Panthers repeat their success, or do the Golden Eagles have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
