Valley View lost a heartbreaker the last time they played Pittston, but it's fair to say they got their revenge given the result of Saturday's contest. The Cougars never let the Patriots get on the board and left with a 16-0 victory on Saturday. Taylor Cawley made a splash while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, keeping things locked down with no earned runs or hits while striking out ten over six innings pitched. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than two walks in 16 consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, getting on base in four of her five plate appearances with two RBI and one double.
