It was a good run, but Crystal Lake Central unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-match winning streak on Saturday. They fell just short of the Huntley Red Raiders by a score of 2-1. Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against the Red Raiders this season, with their most recent defeat being a 2-0 loss back in September.

Crystal Lake Central started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last two. The final score came out to 17-25, 25-14, 25-21.

Sophia Tocmo was the offensive standout of the contest as she had 13 digs.

Crystal Lake Central's loss dropped their record down to 16-13. As for Huntley, the victory was the sixth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 19-6.

Crystal Lake Central wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 2-0 defeat against Fremd on the 11th. As for Huntley, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 2-1 win against Glenbrook South on the 11th.
