After losing to the Palo Verde Titans the last time they met, the Pusch Ridge Christian Academy Lions decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. Pusch Ridge Christian Academy managed a 58-53 victory over Palo Verde on Thursday.
Pusch Ridge Christian Academy's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Mason Hoke, who scored 20 points. Issac Hardeman was another key contributor, scoring 12 points along with seven rebounds.
Palo Verde lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Adrain Powers, who scored 13 points along with eight rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Daniel Ortiz, who dropped a double-double on 11 points and ten rebounds.
Pusch Ridge Christian Academy is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matchups, which provided a massive bump to their 11-8 record this season. As for Palo Verde, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 13-5.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Pusch Ridge Christian Academy on the road again on Saturday and play against Winslow at 4:30 p.m. on January 20th. As for Palo Verde, they will square off against Santa Rita at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.
