Great Crossing stacked an 11th blowout win onto their ever-increasing hoard on Friday. They really took it to Frankfort for the full four quarters, racking up a 78-28 win at home. The win was nothing new for Great Crossing as they're now sitting on nine straight.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Great Crossing to victory, but perhaps none more so than Junius Burrell, who scored 14 points along with four steals. Vince Dawson was another key contributor, scoring nine points along with six rebounds and five assists.
Great Crossing's win was their 18th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 21-1. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 76.2 points per game. As for Frankfort, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-12.
Great Crossing won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Lexington Catholic at 7:00 p.m. on January 27th. One thing working in Lexington Catholic's favor is that they have posted big point totals every time they've taken the court this season. As for Frankfort, they will look to defend their home court on Monday against Rockcastle County at 7:00 p.m. Rockcastle County presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Frankfort in Kentucky (Rockcastle County is ranked 85th, while Frankfort is ranked 229th).
