The Florence Gophers entered their tilt with the San Tan Foothills Sabercats with three consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with four. Florence took down San Tan Foothills 50-32 on Friday. That's another feather in the cap for Florence, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.
Florence was led to victory by Adrian Taufaasau and Logan Stenson. Taufaasau dropped a double-double on 12 points and 14 rebounds, while Stenson dropped a double-double on 19 points and 11 rebounds. Stenson is on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in the last three games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Devin Cundiff, who scored six points along with two steals.
Florence has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven contests, which provided a massive bump to their 13-7 record this season. As for San Tan Foothills, their loss dropped their record down to 9-8.
Florence will be playing in front of their home fans against Pusch Ridge Christian Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Hopefully Pusch Ridge Christian Academy focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up nine on Saturday. As for San Tan Foothills, they will head out on the road to face off against Benjamin Franklin at 5:30 p.m. on Monday.
