Scarborough is 0-3 against Furr since November of 2020 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Friday. The Scarborough Spartans will be playing in front of their home fans against the Furr Brahmans at 7:00 p.m. Scarborough is coming into the game on a five-game losing streak.
Scarborough fell victim to North Forest's stalwart defense on Friday and couldn't make it onto the board. They had to suffer through a rough 48-0 loss at the hands of the Bulldogs.
Meanwhile, while it was all tied up 7-7 at halftime, Furr was not quite Worthing's equal in the second half on Friday. The matchup between the pair wasn't particularly close, with Furr falling 28-14.
Although Furr took the loss, they still got scores from Tashawn Johnson and Trevon Johnson.
Scarborough's defeat was their third straight at home, which dropped their overall record down to 3-5. That rough patch could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 2.7 points per game. As for Furr, they have traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost three of their last four contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-4 record this season.
Scarborough was dealt a bruising 55-0 defeat at the hands of Furr in their previous matchup back in October of 2022. Thankfully for Scarborough, Camron Heard (who threw for 191 yards and two touchdowns while completing 100% of his passes, and also punched in a touchdown on the ground) won't be suiting up this time. Will that be enough to change the final result? There's only one way to find out.
