The Gulf Coast Sharks stacked a tenth blowout win onto their ever-increasing hoard on Tuesday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Fort Myers 59-27 at home. Winning may never get old, but Gulf Coast sure is getting used to it with their fifth in a row.
Gulf Coast's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Mackenzie Mcmaster, who dropped a double-double on 14 points and 11 rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Mcmaster has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Alex Mcdonough, who scored eight points along with seven assists and six steals.
Gulf Coast pushed their record up to 14-4 with that victory, which was their fifth straight at home. As for Fort Myers, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-9.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Gulf Coast the luxury of staying home another game and will welcome Key West at 2:00 p.m. on January 20th. Fort Myers won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Naples at 7:00 p.m. on January 17th. Naples is coming into the contest on a three-game losing streak.
