The Austin Prep Cougars will head out on the road to challenge the Rocky Hill Country Day Mariners at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.
Back in January, Austin Prep took a serious blow against the Titans, falling 71-24. Austin Prep was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 45-10.
Meanwhile, Rocky Hill Country Day put the finishing touches on their ninth blowout victory of the season on Tuesday. They really took it to Lexington Christian Academy for the full four quarters, racking up a 77-44 win on the road. Rocky Hill Country Day pushed the score to 62-32 by the end of the third, a deficit the Lions had little chance of recovering from.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Rocky Hill Country Day to victory, but perhaps none more so than Aliona Nikulina, who scored 17 points along with six steals and five rebounds. Another player making a difference was Addison Mahar, who almost dropped a double-double on 13 points and nine rebounds.
Austin Prep's defeat dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Rocky Hill Country Day, they have been performing well recently as they've won nine of their last 11 games, which provided a nice bump to their 10-6 record this season.
