The Hundred Hornets are taking a road trip to face off against the Hancock Panthers at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. Hundred knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past nine contests -- so hopefully Hancock likes a good challenge.
Last Wednesday, Hundred lost to Valley on the road by a 82-65 margin. The Hornets were down 60-37 at the end of the third quarter, which was just too much to recover from.

Despite their loss, Hundred saw several players rise to the challenge and make noteworthy plays. Colt Sandy, who dropped a double-double on 19 points and 27 rebounds, was perhaps the best of all. Sandy is on a roll when it comes to boards, as he's now pulled down nine or more in the last 11 games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Jaxon Huggins, who went 9 for 17 on his way to 26 points and seven rebounds.
Even though they lost, Hundred smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 14 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least eight offensive rebounds in nine consecutive games.
Meanwhile, everything went Hancock's way against Hyndman Charter School on Friday as Hancock made off with a 44-23 win. Given the Panthers' advantage in MaxPreps' basketball rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked 293rd in Maryland, while the Hornets are ranked 759th in Pennsylvania), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Hundred better focus on containing Jacob Anderson and Tucker Welch as the pair were huge in Hancock's win. Anderson posted 13 points along with five boards and five steals, while Welch had ten points and eight rebounds. That's the most boards Welch has posted since back in January of 2024. Hunter Kerns was another key player, putting up seven points and five rebounds.
Hundred's defeat dropped their record down to 4-9. As for Hancock, their victory bumped their record up to 6-8.
Rebounding is likely to be a big factor in this contest: Hundred has been crashing the boards this season, having averaged 41.1 boards per game. However, it's not like Hancock struggles in that department as they've been averaging 29.9 rebounds.
