The Hilltop Cadets are packing up and heading out on the road for their first away game of the season: they will take on the Edon Bombers at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Hilltop is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 9 runs per game this season.

Things were looking good for Hilltop after they put the first runs on the board on Monday, but unfortunately for them things went downhill from there. They fell 8-3 to Edgerton.

Hilltop saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Cameron Schlosser, who scored a run and stole two bases while going 1-for-3. Anthony Jiannuzzi also deserves some recognition as he got his first hit of the season.

Meanwhile, Edon lost 14-2 to Tinora on Monday. The Bombers have struggled against the Rams recently, as the game was their third consecutive lost meeting.

Hilltop's record now sits at 3-3. As for Edon, their record is now 2-2.

Hilltop took their win against Edon when the teams last played back in April of 2024 by a conclusive 14-3 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Cadets since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
