The Woodridge Bulldogs's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their seventh straight loss. They fell just short of Streetsboro by a score of 42-39. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Woodridge has scored all season.
Streetsboro's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Charles Ivory, who scored nine points along with six rebounds and two blocks. Ivory hasn't dropped below two blocks for three straight games. Another player making a difference was Jack Batten, who scored nine points along with two steals.
Woodridge has not been sharp recently as the team's lost nine of their last 12 matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-12 record this season. As for Streetsboro, they now have a winning record of 9-8.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Woodridge's road trip will continue as they head out to face the Ravens at 7:00 p.m. on February 9th. As for Streetsboro, they will square off against the Spartans at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
