3A District 3 recap Oct. 30, 2012
Trinity Catholic extended the longest winning streak in 3A District 3 this week by beating Booker, 32-0. This was the team's fourth consecutive win.
Trinity Catholic took down the Tornadoes 32-0 last week, the largest margin of any game. Jack Reed ran for 123 yards in the win.
Andrew Baker provided a threat through the air and on the ground as Fort White fell to Rickards. He completed 13 passes for 183 yards and also ran for eight yards. Baker's favorite target this week was Michael Mulberry, who caught four passes for 79 yards.
Reid Carlton put up the best numbers through the air as John Brantley's team defeated Booker. He finished with eight completions for 96 yards and one touchdown. Carlton's favorite target this week was Richie Denicola, who caught two passes for 56 yards.
Fort White's offense has been unstoppable this season and the Indians feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Baker has thrown for 1291 yards and 12 touchdowns this season, while Mulberry has 20 catches for 436 yards. Tavaris Williams leads the league in rushing with 727 yards.
The top two teams in the league will face off this week when first place Trinity Catholic takes on second place Fort White. Last week, the Celtics bested Johnnie Jones' team, while the Indians lost to the Raiders.
There should be lots of points scored when Trinity Catholic and Fort White face off this week. The top two offenses in the league, the Celtics comes in having scored 218 this season, while Demetric Jackson's team has scored 205. Trinity Catholic scored 32 points last week as it defeated the Tornadoes.
The Celtics led 3A District 3 in scoring this week after putting up 32 points on Booker. Reed in the win.
